When we launched the Dream Drive two weeks ago, our goal was to raise $100,000 to make 6 special dreams come true.

Today, because of the true generosity of our incredible Dream Community, we're excited to share that we've raised just over $240,000 - enough to ensure that 16 more dreams WILL come true!

Nori's Story

“She’s feisty!” is one of the very first things Nori’s mom, Haleigh, shared with us when asked about her seven-year-old daughter.

“She’s definitely the boss of her sisters and of the family. It’s her way or no way. But she’s also a super sweet and kind kid who cares more about other people and their inconveniences than her own needs.”

Apart from her role as the boss to both her twin sister and older sister, Nori is a creative: she loves art, music, dancing - anything to do with crafts or making things. She even made a batch of candy apples to celebrate her recent 7th birthday just a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, Nori’s 7th birthday took place just days before she is set to once again begin radiation treatments. Her family learned during a routine MRI this February that doctors found spots on the scan, and suspect that her cancer has returned.

“She was just doing really well,” says Haleigh, “She was gaining weight, her hair was growing back, she could run and dance and play. We were so happy you know, things were starting to get back to normal.”

Today, as we share Nori’s story and work to raise funds for her dream come true, she is in the middle of a new round of very difficult fight — one that first began in November of 2019, when Nori was just 5-years-old... READ MORE

Meet Dante

Dream Kid Dante is a cheerful and sweet spirited 5-year-old. He loves super heroes, especially batman. At just 9 weeks old, Dante was diagnosed with Alagille Syndrome - a rare liver disease which only about 9 people in Manitoba suffer from.

Eli's Dream Come True

The biggest highlight of the trip was obviously PortAventura, but also I loved just wandering around the ancient city of Tarragona where the weather was perfect and the culture was amazing. I got to put my feet in the Mediterranean as well as ride in a sailboat.

Meet Spencer

Two-year-old Spencer is like your average toddler in many ways; he’s starting to talk and he’s climbing on everything! Spencer loves Paw Patrol (of course) and playing with his toy trucks and dinosaurs. But Spencer’s life has been not-so-average in a big way.

Dream Drive LIVE: Join us on April 29th for a virtual celebration!

Live via zoom… it’s the Dream DriVE LIVE!

As a way to celebrate our incredible community of support, we are hosting Dream Drive Live on Thursday, April 29th at 7:00PM. The virtual event is open to anyone who makes a donation to The Dream Drive - but we are also offering incredible dinner options for folks who would like to join us for our virtual celebration, enjoy a fabulous meal, and help support our fundraising goal!

We are thrilled to be partnering with four incredible local restaurants: Brazen Hall, Confusion Corner Drinks & Food, Frankie’s Italian Kitchen, and The Gates on Roblin. Each restaurant has created two wonderful menus - one at $250, and one at $500 - that will serve four people. All meals will be delivered between 5:30PM and 7:00PM by the restaurant you choose to order from.

Once 7:00 hits - it’s time for Dream Drive Live! Emcee Joe Aiello will host our very own LIVE Dream Factory talk show from 7:00-8:00PM. We’ve already got some special guests lined up including our friends at The Ace Burpee Show, local musician JP Hoe, and Dream Factory Ambassador and Winnipeg Jet Josh Morrissey. Most importantly, this evening will also be our chance to celebrate the thing that has brought us all together - making dreams come true for kids in our community fighting some incredible difficult battles.

The Dream Drive!

2020 was a challenging year at The Dream Factory, but it was even more challenging for families in Manitoba with kids battling life-threatening illnesses. The number of families requesting support through a Dream come true is higher than it has ever been - and that’s why we are asking for your help.

The Dream Drive is a two-week fundraising drive with one simple goal: raise $100,000 and make 6 dreams come true, safely and here at home, between May and September of this year. These dreams are for kids and families right here in our community who are in need and are so deserving of the magic of a dream come true. We’re asking for your help to make it possible.

The Dream Drive will run from April 15th-29th, and wrap up with Dream Drive Live - a virtual celebration on April 29th at 7:00PM with special guests, live entertainment, and some incredible meal options.

There are three ways you can support The Dream Drive and help make dreams come true:

Dine - By purchasing a meal for Dream Drive Live you will be helping bring dreams to life. We have some incredible local restaurant partners, including The Gates on Roblin, Confusion Corner Drinks & Food, Frankie’s Italian Kitchen, and Brazen Hall who have all created fantastic menus for a perfect evening of celebration.
