July 2022 - Cody's Dream Arcade, Finley’s Playhouse Dream, Dream Ride, and a Deadlifts for Dreams update!
Our July at The Dream Factory was a fun month! Several Dreams came true, we saw members of our Dream Community come together for an awesome community event, and to wrap it up we will introduce you to a very special group of Dream Makers!
Cody’s Dream Arcade
In July, Cody’s Dream game room became a reality! Complete with skee-ball, basketball, video games, and Cody’s favourite: air hockey, this arcade space is the place to be for Cody and his brother! When Cody and his brother came downstairs and first set eyes on their new basement digs, they were so excited – they jumped right to the air hockey table for an intense matchup! We are so grateful to the incredible team at Princess Auto for supporting Cody, and to Zoey Henry Designs + Paragon Living for breathing life into Cody’s Dream Arcade!
Anu’s Gaming Galore Dream
Anu’s Dream Come True included a gaming chair, PC, and PlayStation 5 – now he’s set up nicely for all the games he can play! When he was deciding on his Dream, Anu joked about wanting a lifetime supply of his favourite – mushroom soup! We couldn’t let this go, so Anu is also set up for all the mushroom soup he can eat! Anu was so thankful for his new gaming setup. He sent us a video thanking all the Dream Community for helping make his Dream a reality.

Finley’s Dream Playhouse
Our final Dream of the month was one for the books - one of the most beautiful playhouses we have ever seen was delivered to Dream Kid Finley! Our friends at Backyard Enjoyment built the most beautiful playhouse, brought it to Finley’s house, and put the finishing touches on before his eyes! He could not contain his excitement! Finley, his sister Abigail, and his parents will continue to spend countless hours together in their backyard making memories that will last a lifetime.

Fallon’s Dream Update
Remember Fallon? This Dream Kid is from the Ukraine and loves to sing! Her Dream is to meet and sing with country music legend, Dolly Parton! We are working hard to make her Dream Come True, and we’ve got some exciting updates on the way, so stay tuned for more on Fallon’s Dream!

Dream Ride Recap

We are thrilled that Dream Ride 2022 raised $41,433.41 to help bring Rainey and Maiya’s Dreams to life! We are extra excited to share that Dream Ride has raised over $100,000 since its inception in 2020 - phenomenal!
Riders had an awesome time at in Riding Mountain National Park! Both Maiya and Rainey joined us at Clear Lake with their families. We are so glad we got to share the day with all in attendance.
We are so grateful for all the Riders and Walkers who took part, and to everyone who donated, sponsored, and volunteered. Also, a very special thank you to Gary and Marsha, Dream Ride’s incredible organizers – you ROCK! We are already dreaming about next year’s event!
Deadlifts For Dreams 4
We’re only a few short weeks away from Deadlifts for Dreams 4! We can’t wait to get together at Training Grounds Gym in St. Malo on Saturday, August 27th beginning at 10:00 AM. Over the last month we’ve reached $15,000 in donations – we’re getting closer to our goal of $25k! Last year, Deadlifts For Dreams 3 was held again at Training Grounds Gym in support of Jasmine’s Dream trip to Montreal. Jasmine attended the event and even tried a few deadlifts with the rest of the athletes! Check out the photos from last year’s event below!
At the first ever Deadlifts for Dreams in 2019, we had a blast raising money for Maya! This Dream Kid was all done up in her Wonder Woman outfit at the event! Leading up to the event in 2019, Maya was the apple of the public eye. She was on KiSS 102.3 fm, online Winnipeg news sites, CTV News Winnipeg, and even CTV News Toronto. Her heartwarming story went national! Take a peek at the following photos of the very first Deadlifts for Dreams.

This year’s event will be in support of Ethan, a sweet, funny, and smart four year old boy. He loves reading about bugs, animals, and most of all, dinosaurs. Ethan was born with cystic fibrosis. He needs physiotherapy twice a day and he’s more prone to getting sick - even a simple cold can take him weeks to recover from. In spite of his illness, Ethan loves to run, jump, and stay active! He told us he wants to visit the “Dino Wilds”, a fictional dinosaur world from Paw Patrol. So Ethan’s Dream Come True will definitely be dino-related!
We are SO excited for Deadlifts for Dreams 4 - each year, the event grows into a bigger event with more activities and more athletes! This year will be the biggest D4D event yet - with all sorts of outdoor activities for kids and families, an on-site barbeque, and our main event: deadlifts AND axle lifts!

Meet a Dream Maker: Realty Executives First Choice
Last month, we were blessed by Realty Executives First Choice, who held a fundraiser draw for a super fun outdoor playhouse at the Winnipeg Home and Garden Show! We drew a winner, and that generous winner donated the playhouse to the Epiphany Children’s Centre! This donation was doubly amazing: the proceeds from the tickets supported Dream Kids and the playhouse was donated to support kids in the community!
An enormous thank you to Realty Executives First Choice for designing and building the playhouse, hosting the raffle, and fundraising for The Dream Factory. Another huge thank you goes to the raffle winner, Dr. Ibrahim, for donating the playhouse! Kids in the community now have another great spot to play and enjoy this amazing playhouse!
