At 12 years old, she’s been through so much. Soon after being adopted from Ukraine, she learned she has End-Stage Kidney Disease—her kidneys don’t work on their own.
Every night while she sleeps, Fallon has dialysis treatment—a 10-hour process that keeps her alive.
There’s no cure for Fallon. And the chances of finding a matching kidney donor in Canada are slim.
But Fallon's kidney failure isn’t the only challenge she’s facing. Two of Fallon’s little brothers are still in Ukraine, living in orphanages as the war rages on.
Fallon is facing the uncertainty of a life-threatening illness and the uncertainty of war in her home country. And yet, she stays strong and thankful for everything.

Fallon’s journey to Manitoba
At just 12 years old, Fallon’s life has been full of change. Born in Ukraine, she was taken from her birth family when she was only four. Her parents weren’t able to provide for their eight young children.
Six years later, Fallon was adopted by two Manitobans.
Finally, she had the family of her dreams! But her happiness was short-lived. Just a few weeks after arriving in Manitoba, Fallon was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Disease… for which there is no cure. Fallon will need to stay on dialysis for the rest of her life, or get a new kidney.
