First September Dragon Boat Festival A Great Success!

This year marked the first annual September Dragon Boat Festival hosted by The Dream Factory and the Manitoba Paddling Association. It was a roaring success. As hundreds of people, from all walks of life, descended upon the river bed, teams of paddlers took to the “sea” in support of making dreams come true.

As scores cheered from the land, more than 45 teams competed to raise money in support of Manitoba children who so desperately need the nightmares of their reality to turn into good and sweet dreams.

 From trips to Disney World to centre ice with the Winnipeg Jets, thanks to the spectacular turnout, this inaugural race is sure to become an annual event to help support our Dream Kids. This year, we successfully raised over $30,000.00, and every penny of it will go right back to the Dream Kids, in our continual pursuit to give every child whose sick, a dream come true.
