A Dreamy Winter

An update on dreams that YOU brought to life!

Winter has been busy here at The Dream Factory! Many of our Dream Kids jetted off to their dream destinations to create magical memories with their families. We are so grateful that you are here, in our Dream Kids’ corner, to be part of this magic!

Dream Kid Chad’s Kennedy Space Center and Disney Trip!

“The trip was awesome, Chad had a blast,” Chad’s dad says. “He loved the Fast & Furious ride and the Harry Potter world at Universal Studios.”

Chad has gone two years with no recurrence of cancer. “We got a call the day before we left to tell us his scans were still clear and that he is now in full remission. We would like to thank all of you for making Chad’s dream happen.”

Dream Kid Drea’s Magical Disney World Experience

“I don’t have words to describe how amazing this trip was for so many reasons,” Drea’s mom shares. “when I look through the photos we took, one thing that stood out was all the smiles! The smile where you don’t have a care in the world. The smile where you can relax and enjoy everything going on around you. For that, we are so grateful.”

Dream Kid Emily Met Koalas in Australia

“I think I’ll remember everything since this was my dream trip and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Visiting my aunt and uncle and having them show us where they live, with all the different places and things that are unique to Australia is something we will always remember.” - Dream Kid Emily

Introducing “The Dream Factory Experience.”

Your support helps us continue to say “yes” to whatever a child’s dream may be. But did you know that your impact goes far beyond a Dream come true? On average, families stay involved with The Dream Factory for 5-7 years! Your generosity enables The Dream Factory to provide Manitoba kids and their families with access to an ongoing community of fun and support that is there for them both during and after their medical journey.

Dream Discovery

It’s a special moment when local kids fighting tough medical battles officially become Dream Kids. In choosing their Dream, kids are able to regain some of the control that their medical journey has taken away from them.

Family Funds

Upon meeting with each new Dream Family, we provide them with $3,000 in financial assistance to support some of the many unexpected costs that come along with having a sick child. Whether it's covering costs of hospital parking, childcare, groceries, or anything else they need - it's our small way of providing some immediate relief to local families living through some of their most difficult days.

Pre-Dream Party

A dream come true is always worth celebrating! Whenever new dreams are coming true, we do our best to bring our community together by throwing a dream party connected to that child's upcoming dream. Of course, it wouldn't be a party without presents - and we love the opportunity to surprise Dream Kids one last time before their big dream come true.

Beyond Dreams Events

It's important to know that The Dream Factory experience does not end once a child's dream comes true. Dream Kids and their families are regularly invited to one-of-a-kind community events where they can continue to make special memories together.

Last year, we hosted 263 Manitoba families (more than 1,000 Manitobans!) at events throughout our community - ice-cream for breakfast parties, art workshops, and even a field day with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers!

Celebrating Milestones

Every year on their birthday, each Dream Kid receives a birthday card with a special treat. We also celebrate treatment milestones with Dream Kids - like when they ring the bell to signify their last cancer treatment. We want Dream Kids to be reminded that there's a whole community of Dreamers in their corner, cheering them on!

You can help create a magical Dream Factory Experience!
